Properly Disposing Your Cooking Grease/Oil

You should never pour grease or oil down the drain. When the grease or oil cools, it will solidify. This will clog your pipes. It can also cause odors to develop in your sink. Pour the Grease in a Mason Jar

After the grease has cooled off, you will need to pour it in a mason jar. If you do not plan on using the grease again, then you can throw it in the trash. You can store the grease in a cabinet if you want to use it again.

Let the Grease Freeze

If you do not want to put the grease inside of a mason jar, then you can put it in the refrigerator or freezer. Let it harden. After that, you can put the grease inside of a bag and put it in the trash. It is a good idea to double bag the grease before you throw it in the garbage can.

 

Reuse the Grease
